Day-by-day itinerary
Pre-dawn
A gentle wake-up call around 4:30am with hot coffee at your camp. A short 4x4 transfer under the stars brings you to the balloon launch site as the sky begins to soften.
Travel tip
Dress in warm layers — the plains are cool before sunrise but heat up quickly once you're airborne.
Sunrise
Lift off as the first light spills across the Serengeti. Float silently over herds of wildebeest, giraffes, elephants and — if you're lucky — a lion pride waking with the dawn. Your pilot narrates the landscape, and the only sound is the occasional burst of the burner.
After landing
Touch down on the open savanna where a linen-set table waits under an acacia. A full hot breakfast is served with sparkling wine, and your pilot presents each guest with a signed flight certificate. Return to camp mid-morning for the rest of your safari day — or continue with a game drive.
