Day-by-day itinerary

From Kilimanjaro Airport to the wild. Every step planned.

Day 1

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Transfer to Arusha

Your guide meets you at Kilimanjaro International Airport with a warm Karibu Tanzania. Transfer to Arusha at the base of Mount Meru. Relax at your lodge or explore the town. Your safari briefing takes place in the evening. Overnight in Arusha.

Arusha Coffee Lodge - Half Board

A charming lodge in a working coffee plantation.

Travel tip

Rest this evening and get used to the time zone. Charge your camera batteries and have your safari gear ready.

Day 2

Full day Tarangire

A full day game drive through the baobab valleys and Silale swamps in the south of the park. Huge elephant herds, lion prides and rare species like fringe-eared oryx and gerenuk.

Day 3

Tarangire → KIA departure

A final morning game drive on the way out of the park, then a road transfer back to Kilimanjaro Airport for your evening departure.
